The Val Verde Unified School District's Department of Security consists of approximately 34 full-time District Security Officers, led by our Chief of Police, who are strategically assigned to various schools throughout the district to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff.

Emergencies

In the event of an emergency, District Security Officers are ready to be deployed to any school within the district requiring immediate assistance. Their presence ensures a swift, coordinated response, providing support to school staff, local law enforcement, and first responders to maintain safety and security. Our officers are highly trained to handle a wide range of situations and work diligently to protect our students, staff, and community.

Daily Operations

District Security Officers play a vital role in maintaining a safe and orderly environment across our school sites. As key members of our security team, they serve as a bridge between students and school administrators, fostering positive relationships while ensuring campus safety.

Each day, our officers work diligently to deter crime and disorder, providing a visible and reassuring presence on campus. Beyond their security duties, they also serve as role models, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and respect to the student population.

Through their dedication, District Security Officers help create a secure and supportive learning environment where students can thrive.
